Mold Damage – Acworth House
Mold damage developed at this vacant Acworth house when the water heater sprung a serious leak. The water heater was on the other side of the wall pictured. Since the home was vacant, the water-soaked drywall and insulation had more than enough time to allow the growth of a sizable mold colony. When the mold was discovered the owner of the property called SERVPRO of Northwest Cobb County to clean up the mold. We began by constructing a containment area to prevent mold spores from dispersing throughout the house while we remediated the damage. We needed to tear out quite a bit of drywall and insulation to reach all the areas that had been affected between the inner and outer walls.
